A Musical Experience
As some of you may know, I have been playing the piano for ten years, and every year, I play at a special performance called the Ensemble. It's for 1st through 12th grade kids. It's where there are twelve different levels(eleven this year), and twelve pianos. The first level is for beginners, and the levels get harder and harder until you're at the top. Anyway, each level comes up in order and there are two people per piano. And there are twelve pianos playing the same song at the same time! It sounds really cool, and it's a lot of fun. I have been in the highest level for a few years because I started very early and I moved up a level each year. But last year, I got a special privilege. I got to play the Star Spangled Banner at the beginning of the whole thing! It's supposed to only be for seniors, but they didn't have enough people, so I got to do it! And I'm doing it again this year! And I'm filling in for another level besides my own, so it's kind of confusing. We had a practice tonight, and I just got back. It didn't go too well. Some of the kids obviously didn't know their parts. I hate that! I will post the pictures about this! It's on Saturday night. I have two more practices. I'm so nervous!
