Snowstorm Shopping.

As some of you might know, here in Arkansas, we have had a snowstorm! At least five inches and a lot of ice! Which means that the roads are really bad. We couldn't go to church this morning, but it's been fun anyway. Last night, Dad, Christy and I went to Walmart to get some stuff. We went in Dad's four-wheel drive, but it was still difficult. Several days ago, I made a commitment to wear all skirts and no jeans for a month. It's been hard so far, but mostly I've been enjoying it. Anyway, I wore my favorite jean skirt, my huge purple coat, my glasses, and my dirty snow boots! And I didn't have time to fix my hair, but I didn't really care. But Christy did! She was so embarrassed in Walmart, she wouldn't walk next to me. She's always been that way, I'm more of the crazy, don't-care-what-people-think kind of person, and she's more withdrawn and reserved in public. Like, during vacation, I wore the hat I knit into a few public places, and she was so mad she walked way ahead of me all the time so people wouldn't know we were related. And it's SO much fun embarrassing her, it's too easy! But yesterday she was really embarrassed, which makes it so much fun to tease her! So, when Dad gave us some stuff to get, she walked really fast and far ahead. So I ditched the cart and followed her into the main aisle. I started yelling about her not wanting everyone to know we were sisters! Everyone was looking at us. She turned red and almost ran down the aisle! I ran after her singing "Fireflies" by Owl City at the top of my lungs! Well, she was gone! And I almost died laughing! Just thought I'd share that with you. I'm kinda bored because we can't get to church.

P.S. I'm still thinking about what I'm going to do for my hundredth post celebration. If you haven't voted yet, pick one. Either I'll tell 100 random things about myself, or I'll have a giveaway. :)

I'm not Crazy and I Need Help!

Hello everybody! You may have noticed some new, strange songs on my playlist. Well, I discovered who did a lot of the Disney movie songs, and I have a lot of them. They may sound weird, but I really like them, so don't be alarmed, I'm not crazy. Well, actually, I am, but that's beside the point. LOL Also, my 100th post is coming up, and I can't decide what to do. I would like to do a caption contest, but my last one was a disaster! So I have narrowed it down to these two choices:

                                                                        Have a giveaway

                                                                                   or

Tell 100 random things about my life.

I'll leave it up to you guys, so be sure to vote!

Christy's Tag.

You may remember that I did this same tag last year, but this time, my sister Christy did this one. Be prepared. You may see some little notes from me. Those are just to keep you informed. Be prepared. :)

List twelve characters from any fandom, and then answer the following questions.

1.Ben Gates

2.Larry Daley

3.Aragorn

4.Theoden

5.Mr. Darcy

6.Barney Fife

7.Peter Pevensie

8.Charles Ingalls

9.Obi wan Kenobi

10.Riley Pool

11.Anne Shirley

12.Marty Davis

1. Who would make a better college prof, 6 or 11? Anne Shirley.

2. Do you think 2 is hot? How hot? No, he's okay, but not really.

3. 12 sends 8 out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed? It would be a mission to cook pancakes, and no, it would fail.

4. What is or would be 9's favorite book?  Star Wars, I guess.

5. Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?  Definitely the other way around.

6. For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he share a studio apartment with 9 or 10? He should go with Riley Poole instead of Obi Wan.

7. 2, 7, and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss? Golden Corral! Or maybe a steakhouse. I have no clue what they would discuss.

8. 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens? Riley would get whooped by Aragorn.

9. If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would she/he get it back? Get the FBI to get it back from Gates; they know him well.

Peter and marty
10. Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire. A Little Home in Narnia.

11. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together? Gates would figure stuff out and Theoden would be the muscle. (This was my idea)

12. If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along? Probably not very well. (I would get along very well with Peter)

13. If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be? Throw Gimli into a pile of orcs! (Editors note: I am not related to her!)

14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11? I have no clue.

15. If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be? Theoden.

16. What might 10 shout while charging into battle? Riley might say, "I wish a girl could see me do this."

17. If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose? The Little House on the Prairie theme song.

18. 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it? Barney. (I don't know why she said that.)

19. What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10? I don't know.

20. What would 5 most likely be arrested for? For not talking to the nice policemen. (Or stammering so hard they couldn't understand him.)

21. What is 6's secret? I don't know.

22. If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first? Obi wan Kenobi.

23. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8? Charles Ingalls. (I would totally put Peter, but that's just me.)

24. 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that s/he is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wiseadvice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic? The Disaster that Rocked the World. (I had to help her with that one.)

Well, that's it! I had to help her quite a bit though. She isn't quite as imaginative as I am, but it was still fun.

Baby Pictures!

I'm back! We got back last night. And I brought pictures! Lots and lots of em. So be prepared. For those of you who don't know, my family went up to Minnesota for a week because my sister was having a baby!  These are all baby pictures, we did some other stuff, but I'll post about that later.

In the waiting room. I was playing the Nintendo Ds I got for Christmas and Christy was picking on Sarah and Emily. April (my sister who was having the baby) had to have a C-section, so we were waiting for her to get out of surgery.

Nic (her husband) came up the elevator with little Makenzie! He went with April into surgery, so he had to wear that stuff over his clothes. April was still in the surgery room, we didn't see her until that night.

Oh, how beautiful!

We all went back to the room where they out Makenzie on a heated table so they could give her shots and stuff. I didn't post any pictures of her without a diaper; I don't want to offend anyone.

You can't tell because of her hat, but she had a cone head! She was so big, she couldn't get out naturally, so they had to do a C-section. I can't remember why her head was cone shaped, but it was! I was a little scared at first, but now her head is completely normal!

Also, in between her eyes, there is a big bruise. That's were her head was hitting April's pelvic bone, preventing her from getting in the birth position. You might be able to see it better in the previous picture.

She didn't like the cold stethoscope on her! This is the only part of her checkup that I took pictures of. I couldn't bring myself to take pictures of her getting her shots!

The nurse was nice though. She didn't seem to be offended that Makenzie was screaming at her at the top of her lungs! LOL

Makenzie weighed 9lbs. 6oz.! I guess that's pretty big for a baby. But when the nurse picked her up, she looked really tiny to me. I wish I could have seen my other older sister, Jennifer, when she was a baby. Mom said she weighed 4lbs.6oz.! I can't even imagine a baby that tiny!

The proud father. And my Mom.

There's Grandma! Actually, this is the fourth time she's been Grandma, but she doesn't get tired of it. For those of you who don't know, that's my Mom.

After everything was done, the nurse 'swaddled' Makenzie because it was still cold to her.

How cute!

Awwwwww...

Well, that's all folks! I'll be posting more pictures soon. (I hope) I'm also planning another CAPTAIN AWESOME post!

I Can't Wait

Let me start from the beginning. My sister, April, who lives in Minnesota, is going to have her baby very soon! We are going up there when she goes into labor, so we have to be ready to go at any time! Well, the doctors tried to induce her on Monday, which means that she might go into labor on Tuesday, today! Well, we were planning on leaving today, but it turns out that it didn't work, so the doctors are going to try again on Thursday. We were so disappointed! We were all ready to go, but it didn't work out. Which means I have to do school today. Oh well. At least it's not all bad news. I get to teach at Awanas tomorrow night!

Sweet Sixteen.

I got my first birthday present the night before my birthday. We were picking out a bird cage that was going to be one of my presents. I went to go look at the parakeets, and I saw Sunny! She was sitting on the food dish stuffing her face and chasing all of the other birds away! She was the only yellow one in all of the other dozens of birds! So I decided to get her. Except I didn't know that it was a girl yet. So I named it Butterball on the way home. But once I got home, Christy's bird was flirting with mine, so I looked it up. It turned out that mine was a girl and Christy's was a boy! So then I changed her name to Sunny. In the picture below, Christy's parakeet is the blue one, Pippen, and mine is the yellow one, Sunny.

When I got home, I saw that Dad had bought me pink roses! Everyone in my family knows I love the color pink!

The next day, my birthday, we went to Shogun for lunch.

We practically had the whole place to ourselves! I guess no one else wanted to risk the icy roads! Our cook was really funny.

When he saw me taking this picture, he wanted Christy to come up next to him, so I could take a picture of both of them.

She wouldn't go at first, but she finally did. She hates that kind of thing.

He had her cook the food, then she went to her seat.

I wanted a turn, and he let me come up. I posed for pictures, and in this pic, he was trying to get out of the picture. He was hilarious!

And I cooked Dad's chicken

That night, we went to a show at the Walton Arts Center. It had Melissa Gilbert in it and it was called Little House on the Prairie, the Musical. It was awesome!

It was late when we got back, but we still had the birthday party. Our neighbor was there. It was fun!

Me blowing out the candles.

This is the candle I picked out.

And the watch I picked out. LOL

All in all, it was one of the best birthdays I've ever had!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Come One, Come All!

Here is the account of our fun afternoon! Here you will look at hilarious pictures, action stories, and much more! Also, as a bonus, I am introducing Captain Awesome and her faithful sidekick! But you have to read on to find out more!

First, we went to the pond in our horses' field, which was frozen over. I made Christy and Oliver go out first as a test. I fell through a frozen pond last year, but I don't want to talk about it.

It seemed to be pretty safe.

Actually, it was quite safe! We walked all over it, and then I made snow angels on the ice!

Oliver accompanied us.

Now, what you have been waiting for. The incredible adventures of,

CAPTIAN AWESOME! Adventure is out there!

and her faithful sidekick.
(or Fish and Chips)

We knew that the way would be dangerous, but we were on our way to see the amazing ice cliffs! In winter, these cliffs have huge icicles hanging from them. They are down in the creek, which is a long journey. But there is nothing that these two cannot do!

We're off! Already, there was talk of mutiny among the ranks, but CAPTIAN AWESOME soon put the sidekick in her place.

We had barely started when my sidekick found a piece of ice in the creek. So we stopped for a little bit and had some fun. Heroes aren't always serious, you know.

This is not good for my image.

"I triple-dog-dare you!" If anyone has seen "The Christmas Story," you'll know what this is.

I am not affiliated with her!

For some reason, that made us thirsty, so we stopped for a minute while I ate some snow and the sidekick licked an icicle.

Which didn't work out too well for her because her gloves froze to the icicle!

We started out again. With my stealth and quickness,

and with her keen eyes and farsightedness, we couldn't lose!

What a team! I think 'fearless' is the best adjective.

We soon came to a miniature version of the great ice cliffs.

These were small but still pretty. And they would provide another snack.

Some people are just greedy. When I told her to get a smaller one, she challenged me to a sword fight! Which of course I accepted!

You can see that I had the upper hand in this duel. But she thought that she was winning, until she broke my 'sword'.

I jumped at her with my broken icicle and beat her with it! Jk

That taught her. A fear of CAPTIAN AWESOME is healthy.

These are the rock shelves that are usually so nice to walk on. Now they are coated in ice. My sidekick's friend came down with us a few years ago, and they were coated with ice then too. Well, she had one foot on either side trying to cross but she got stuck and fell in! It was so funny!

Finally, there they are!

The Cliffs of Insanity! (For those of you who have watched Princess Bride, you'll know what this means.)

My sidekick had a hard time getting up, because the hill was really icy!

Ah, so cool! This doesn't happen every year, but we've had a lot of winter this year!

There she is, stuffing her face again! Typical sidekick behavior.

I tried to climb the ice wall, but it didn't work too well. It was time to head home. By the time we got back, it was almost dark, and we were exhausted!

As you can see.

This was a post purely for enjoyment. I love my sister and was just kidding when I made fun of her. This was really fun to do; it was like an action movie! Hope you liked it!
(And just in case you are wondering, I did not really beat Christy with an icicle. LOL)
