Haha! This is the card I got for Mom. It says stuff like, "When you were young, remote was when you went somewhere far away. A cell phone was a call you made to your lawyer when you were in prison." LOL I always get people sarcastic and witty stuff like that. Christy always gets card that say, "You're a great Mom, and I love you,". Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just not my style. =)

Happy Birthday Mom!

My Mom had her birthday yesterday! It was an important one, but I don't think she wants me to tell you how old she is, so you will just have to guess. =D I put the birthday background on yesterday, but I had computer troubles, so I couldn't change the header. I'm going to try again, but I'm not sure if it will work. My brother-in-law, Phillip, put a new system on my laptop, and it's taking me awhile to figure out. But, if all else fails, then I will use Mom's old, slow, pc. I'm working on posting pics of the birthday party; I should have them out by tonight. And she got some good stuff! So check back later. =D

Pony Wrangling!

I went out into the field, ready to take on the world.

Catching her wasn't too hard, a real surprise.

But she obviously didn't want me to ride her! That's Mocha, my Tennessee Walker. She followed Patches everywhere.

Ta-da! I used to do this on my big ol' horse that died. 

At that point, I decided to give Christy my glasses.

She didn't pay much attention to that dog leash around her neck, but at least I had a little bit of control. =D

She's mad here.

Yeah, I know, my hair was doing weird things.

Mocha has been very "insecure" since we sold the other horses, so she galloped right next to us. Very annoying.

Yes, I had to tie up Mocha. She was being a pain!

Also, Patches is a retired barrel-racer.

Now we're both tired. 

She finally did succeed in dumping me. Stupid horse.

I guess Patches is just meant to be wild and free! lol

Premature Fishing.

Well, we got quite a bit of rain today, and the pond is pretty much filled. We haven't stocked it yet, but Christy and decided to go fishing anyway. I know, we're silly, but Dad said we can't put the canoe out in it until the mud dries up, so that might be awhile, the way it's been raining out here lately. =( But, my Dad is going to get his brother's boat soon; maybe we can take that out soon. We have two oars, but just not a boat. =)  Well, here are the pics of us "fishing."

Unfortunately, Christy had to go, leaving me all alone. Well, not completely alone. *evil laugh*

Oh, the ground around the pond is wet, sticky clay that really sticks to the shoes. If you think this is bad, I had like five inches around and under my boots last time I was out.

Christy unwittingly left her dog, Tanner, my next victim. *another evil laugh* ( You must know by this time that I am evil) lol

I had been wanting to throw him in the pond for a long time, and this was the perfect opportunity! Poor dog. =D

Cursor!

I finally got a cursor for my blog! I think it's adorable! I've been trying to get one for FOREVER! But my computer kept blocking it. =( But I finally got it! =D

Pond Update!

Well, as most of you know, last week, a guy made our pond. Dad thought it would take at least a month to fill, but it's almost filled now, and it's been less than a week! I have lots of pics to show.

This is where I left you last time, with just a tiny bit of water in there. Well, believe me, it has changed! A lot!

Well, as you might know, we got like eight inches of snow! And, that was two days ago. It's been in the sixties yesterday and today, so it's pretty much all melted. And it's been filling our pond!

Yesterday, the water was just touching the bottom of those poles. Crazy.

Snow!

It's snowing! Again! We have had so much snow this winter! It was in the sixties yesterday, and today, we might be getting several inches of snow! I love Arkansas...

I don't know why, but I felt that I should post that poem. I didn't write it or anything, but I always find that it is encouraging to me. I hope that it helps someone else too! =D

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day peeps! (Hear that Eldarwen? I said 'peeps'! lol) Anyway, I have a little bit of interesting something to tell you. A scientist in our church was born on St. Patrick's Day, so his parents named him Patrick. He's really nice and really smart. I just thought that was cool. The only other interesting thing about St. Patrick's Day that I can think of is that there's a Veggietale about it that's really funny! lol =D Don't forget to wear green! If I forget to wear green to Awanas tonight... *shudders* =D

A Pond!

Well, the title says it all. Dad has wanted a pond for years, and now he finally has one! He had a guy come out and make it in a day and a half, and for only $1,100! There's a little creek running into it and it's starting to fill up! The guy finished it this afternoon. We made it up in the old horse pasture. All the dirt he dug out made a big ridge, as youcan see below.

As you can see, it's going to be a pretty big pond! =D That's our shed behind it, and that's Christy, Emily, Dad, the guy who's making it, and our neighbor, Jean Bechaud, who came to look. He's having this guy make a pond for him after us! Funny.

This was taken today, whereas the others were taken yesterday. In fact, this was taken only a little while ago. The pond is filling up! =D

I know, it doesn't look too impressive now, but I will post more pics when it's filled.

4. How many siblings do you have? I have five sisters. :0
5. What's your favorite subject in school? I'd have to say History is my fav. Especially if it has anything to do with WW2! :) ( I know, that's the exact same answer as Eldarwen's, but it's true! But I also love anything to do with Egypt! :)

6. What is your favorite Bible verse? Isaiah 40:31- They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

7. What is one of your hobbies? I like to run! I'm not sure if that is a hobby though. Um, I like history. A lot! I read through my old history books quite often. I like to sing. Oh! I like to play the piano!!!!!
8. If someone handed you a five dollar bill, what would you do with it? ( I like Eldarwen't multiple choice idea, so I'm going to use it, even if I change some of the choices)

a. Shove it in your pocket and forget about it until it gets ruined in the wash.

b. If it came from a guy, say dreamily, "Thanks! You wanna help me spend it?" lol

c. Put it in savings.

d. Use it to pay back the enormous debt I owe to Mom..

I'd probably do letter 'd', although I might do every one of the choices. Yes, even 'b'. But I would try not to do 'b'! =D

9. If your sibling came to you with their math book and asked for help, you'd say:

a. "Are you serious? I don't know how old I am because I ran out of fingers to count on!"

b. "Too bad. I'm not good at math. Go ask mom."

c. "I'm sorry, I'm not very good at math. Can you go ask someone else?"

Well, I might say 'b', but I would most likely say something sarcastic like 'a'. :)

Well, I can do all of those except for sewing and skateboarding, and since I don't plan to skateboard any time soon, I guess I would pick sewing! =)

Weirdness.

This is me in my AWESOME hat I got from Silver Dollar City! I'm at my laptop, as usual. =D I'm also wearing glasses. I usually manage to whip them off when someone takes a pic, but this time, I decided to leave them on. =D Just thought I'd share that.
