An Eventful Evening.

This evening was a ton of fun! First, I had a piano competition that I told you about yesterday. Afterwards, we were to go to the movie "How to Train Your Dragon", which I will tell you more about afterwards. And... I have a surprise at the end of the post! Now, no peeking ahead! *glare* I mean it! I'm watching you! *suspicious look*
This is what I wore to the competition.

I did very well in the competition. I got a first place ribbon! =D

Afterward, we went to the movie. It was really good! I liked it a lot! My favorite characters were the twins! They were awesome! Haha! If you've seen it, tell me who your favorite character/characters are. =)

Then, we went shopping with Dad. Christy is playing softball, and she needed some new shorts. While she was looking at those, I went to the jeans section, not really expecting to find anything. I never find anything that I like. For one thing, I'm very tall and very thin. I have very long legs. Which means, whenever I find something that is actually long enough, the waist is like two of me. >=( But, I found TWO pairs of jeans!!!! *excitement* One pair actually drags the ground on the bottom!!!! Crazy. I'm so happy. Here are some pics:

See? The cuffs drag the ground!

Now, the surprise that you have all been waiting for. *dramatic music*

I got a phone!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it cool?! My friend Becky got one a couple of weeks ago for her birthday, except hers is black. We have been texting like crazy! =D

And it has a full keyboard! I'm so excited! I hope Becky and I can go accessory shopping tomorrow! All right, that's all the news I have right now. I'm sitting here watching "National Treasure with Dad and Christy, as I eat a bowl of chocolate syrup covered ice cream. Life is good. =D

A Restful Night.

Last night, I had a good night's sleep. I know what your thinking, I can see it on your face. You're saying, "So?" I'm right, aren't I? Well, I'm just bringing it up because the night before last, I hardly got any sleep at all! I kept twisting and turning and couldn't get comfortable. To borrow Owl City's words, "When I'm far too tired to fall asleep." You know what that means, right? Of course, on the other hand, when I sleep soundly, I know that I've been doing something weird while I'm asleep. You can count on it. You see, I am a major sleep walker. And not just walking either! I sleep-run, sleep-talk, sleep-everything else that is normal! Seriously! The good thing is, my 'disorder' is only noticed when I sleep in a hotel with my family or something. Not that I don't do the weird things at my house, it's just that there is usually no one around to see. =) But one time, in a hotel, I got up and walked over to Christy, and started beating on her! I seriously was asleep! Promise! I have done so many weird things! Like, at home, Dad was out in the living room unusually late, and I came running out. I ran up to the window and just stood there looking out, scratching my arms and stuff. Dad came over and said, "What's wrong? What are you doing?" I just mumbled something about bees, then I ran back to bed. I scare myself. But, it is kinda interesting to hear in the morning what I have been doing during the night.

Also, I get my dreams mixed up with reality. Like, I'll be dreaming, then I'll wake up, but I don't know that I'm awake. So, I continue the dream. Example: I was dreaming that Christy and I were at a friend's house sleeping. But, the boy's wanted to play paintball in the house in the middle of the night for some reason, so everyone else had to go outside. That's where I woke up. But, as I said before, I was still in my dream. So, I got dressed and went outside. That's when I realized that I had been dreaming. It's very weird. Now, are you all thoroughly scared of me? I can't even remember how I got onto this subject. *shrugs*

What's Happening.

I haven't posted in a few days, and I'm so ashamed of myself! *slaps cheek* There, I feel better. lol Tonight, we went to a play titled "The Secret Garden." I read the book and watched the movie several years ago, so I knew a little of what was going on. But frankly, it was a little disappointing. Actually, it was more than a little disappointing, it was VERY disappointing! =( It was really confusing and the songs weren't very good. But, it was an experience! =D

My other bit of news is something much more serious. You remember how I played a song for recital? I'm pretty sure I posted about it. Well, I have to play the same song for Piano Clinic tomorrow. Clinic used to be a competition, then some kid started whining about losing, so now it's not. =( Some people just can't accept being losers. Well, it used to be that everyone would play once, then the 'losers' would be eliminated, then the people who were good enough would play again and get awards. Of course, I was never eliminated! *fluffs hair* Wow, I sounded just like Eldarwen there! Yikes! lol jk Anyway, the song has to be memorized, and mine isn't too firm in my head. It's the "Minute Waltz", in case you forgot. I'm really nervous, even though I've been doing this since I was six. =( I keep asking myself why I put myself through this year after year, but I just don't know! Wait, I have figured it out! It's because I get to get ice cream afterwards!!!!! Yes, that's it! =D

Tags from Lady Gwenea and Eldarwen Failariel!

Lady Gwenea has tagged me, and an award came with it! And the tag looks totally awesome, even though I might have changed a couple of rules. *sheepish grin* So, to get the award, you must...

A) Post about your tag!

B) pick five bloggers who deserve the PURE IN HEART award.

C) leave a comment on the five people's blog, and tell them that you tagged them! You might want to leave the link, too (you may tag whoever you want, including the person who tagged you, if you like).

D) Answer these questions and put them up in your post:

1: Apples, Oranges or Bananas? Oh dear, as Eldarwen knows very well, I absolutely DETEST fruits and veggies, but if I HAD to pick one, it would be apples. =D

2: How many siblings do you have? Five. Actually six, because Eldarwen counts as a sister. =D

3: How old are you? Sixteen.

4: Do you live on a prairie, woodland, swamp, city or other? Woodland, I guess. =)

5: Scissors or glue? Scissors! Not even close. I can cut things! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

6: describe your dream house. Oh, my dream house is right down the road from us! I'll have to post a pic sometime, but it's big and white, with pillars on the front, an upstairs, lots of windows, and a bright red door!!! I love it!

7: Is your room clean? Um, uh, well, that is, I, uh, um, not exactly.

8: If you could be a movie character for a day, who would you be? Galadriel!!!!! I love her! But it's really hard to decide.

9: Italy, Greece, France, Spain or England? Greece, there is so much history and culture there!

10: What denomination are you? Independent Baptist.

11: Do you sleep with a stuffed toy (BE HONEST!!!!) Nope, but only because they won't fit in my bed!

12: Gum, chocolate, or jelly beans? CHOCOLATE!

13: What is your favorite book? The Chronicles of Narnia series.

14: Favorite ice cream flavour? Chocolate fudge with chocolate chunks and chocolate syrup!

15: If you had to eat one type of food for two weeks, what would that food be? Chocolate! Is that a food?

16: What is your favorite Olympic sport? Figure skating!

17: If you woke up and discovered that you had turned into Miley Cyrus for the day, what would you do ( note, I am NOT a fan)? I would freak out and have a good time until it ended. Ya know, the fame and glory. =D

18: Describe yourself in three words. Fanciful, imaginative, dramatic. =D

19: What chore do you positively hate? Picking up Sarah and Emily's toys.

20: If elmo cam into your room with a gun, what would you do? I would use my kung-fu moves on him!!!

That was a cool tag! So now, I tag:

                                                                          Lady Gwenea

                                                                                Steph

                                                                                Elrania

                                                                                Tessa

                                                                                Laura

Tag and Award from Eldarwen!

This is probably my favorite award, because it is so me!

If you are awarded, here's what you do:

1) Post about the award.

2) Award 3 other people.

3) Answer the tag

If you could write one word, what would it be? Oh, wow, um, "Sierra". Well, it would be really hard to choose, and since I love my puppy, and I think her name is really pretty, I would write that. =)

Use one word to describe yourself: creative

What is something random about you/your writing that you'd like to say right now? I am obsessed with writing, but I only let one person read it, my best friend Eldarwen! I have finished two stories and am working on three right now.

Think up an absurd title for a book: Dolphins in the Sahara Desert.

What is the strangest sentence you can think of? "I wore a cape, wielded a light saber, held a camera, tore some flowers, visited a grave, and had a great time!" Ring a bell, Eldarwen? lol

What do you write? Sci-fi, romance, fiction... ya know. =D

Why do you write it? Because I am happiest when I am writing, and I love putting my imagination down on paper!

If you had a weird disease and could only make a sound over and over, what would it be? Hmmm, I would probably like to make a "beep" sound. =D

Okay, I award:

Anyone who is writing a story of their own!

And one more tag from Eldarwen!

And it comes with an award!
Rules:

. Get really excited that you got the coolest award EVER. -- All right, I'm working it up! Getting there, getting there...wait! I'm excited now!!! =D

2. Choose ONE of the following options of accepting the OMB award:

(a) Write about your most embarrassing moment.

(b) Write a "Soundtrack of your childhood" post.

(c) Make your next blog a 'vlog'/video blog. Basically, you're talking to the camera about whatever.

(d) Take a picture of yourself first thing in the morning, before you do anything else (hair, make up, etc)and post it.

Aw, come on! Oh brother. Why did I ever accept this award? I guess it will have to be 'a'. *sigh* But I can't narrow it down! Darn... Okay, when I was at a friend's house, we were all out on the trampoline. My friend, Austin was showing off how he could do a backflip. Soon, everyone else went inside and I decided to try to do a backflip. Well, when I tried, my knee flew up and hit my nose and I landed in a heap. It wouldn't have been so bad, but when I untangled myself and looked up, Austin and his friend Bobby were standing there laughing at me! Rrgghhh! And on top of it all, I knocked my nose crooked. =( There, ya happy?

I tag anyone who is brave enough to do this tag!

It's Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I think that all of my followers follow Eldarwen's blog, right? If you don't, here's the adress:
http://www.thefaithfulelvenprincess.blogspot.com/ Anyway, if you didn't know, we met each other on our blogs a few months ago, and we started emailing after awhile. We finally met yesterday! My family and I drove to her house and saw her yesterday evening! It was so awesome!!!! Definitely one of the best and most exciting days in my life! We are going to Six Flags today. I probably won't be posting many pics, since I'm pretty sure that you follow Eldarwen's blog, and she has soooo many more followers, so I'm going to ask her to post the pictures! And I-MUST-CONVINCE-HER-TO-GO-ON-THE-ROLLER-COASTERS! She apparently doesn't care for them.

They're Gone!

I got my braces off yesterday!!!!! I'm so excited!
Here's the "before" picture.

And after! This is my awesome and goofy orthodontist, Dr. Jesse Gray. He's actually really tall, like a foot taller than me, but since I'm rather tall too, I didn't have to use the stepstool for this picture. He was nice enough to bend down a little. And I like feeling short! =D
My teeth are really white. =D

My Awana Girls!

I finally have some pictures! Every now and then, I make references to Awana or something. For those who don't know, Awana is a church ministry to kids from 3-12 year olds. There are three divisions, Cubbies (3-4 year olds), Sparkies (5-8 year olds), and TNT (9-12 year olds). I'm a Sparkie leader. The Sparkies and TNT's mainly memorize verses. All of the Sparkie kids are divided up into groups of four or five kids, as are the TNTs. Oh, and the boys and girls in both Sparkies and TNT's are split up. =) I have a group of four wonderful girls! I absolutely LOVE to teach, so I LOVE Awana! It's the highlight of my week! Anyway, last week, I took some pictures of my girls. =D

From left to right: Rhema,(pronounced 'Raim-uh) Donna, Mcayla, and Vianca (Vee-on-kuh) I know, my spelling of the pronunciations are a little weird, but you get the idea. Aren't they cute? Yes, Rhema is a bit of a handful, she's the one with the big mouth!

This is Donna. She's very proud of the progress that she's made in her book, as you can see. She is very sweet and funny! Our church has a bus ministry for Awana, and that's how she comes. =D

*sigh* This is Rhema. When she first came to Awana and was put in my group, she was extremely shy! Well, that has changed. She's very hyper, but also very quick at memorizing. She has finished all of her books twice! Yep, she's quite impressive. But she's always trying to goof off, which is why she sits slightly apart from the other girls. =) She's the only one that isn't in second grade, so she's the only one of mine that won't be moving to TNT in a couple of months. =( =( =( I will miss the others soooo much!

This is Vianca. She is such a sweetheart! She's fun, yet sweet. She is also a good memorizer, but she is a bit demoralized by Rhema's progress, as are the rest of the girls. But I am still so happy to have her in my group!

This is Mckayla. She can be a bit of a handful, but most of the time, she behaves. She wants to help everyone else memorize, which is nice, but she needs to memorize her own verses! lol

Vianca and McKayla. They are in the same class in my church's Christian school. In fact, we use their 2nd grade classroom for my group. =) They really want a picture together.

And then Donna wanted a pic with the popular Vianca. =D

My girls and I have a lot of fun together every Wednesday night. I am most definitely not a strict teacher! Haha, no way! As long as the girls aren't too loud and they learn their verses, I let 'em talk and walk around. Yes, I have gotten many frowns of disapproval, but my girls have the most memorization points in the Sparkie division. Not that I can take any credit for that. =D But I am a natural weirdo, and they have never seen an "adult" act like I do. When Donna finally learns a hard verse that she has been struggling with, I do a victory dance on the floor. When Rhema is being particularly trying, then I put her in an arm lock or put my hand on top of her head and smack my hand. It makes me feel better. When Vianca's birthday arrived, I took the girls on a pilgrimage to the Coke machine and I bought them all drinks. And when McKayla learns five passages at a time and says them all together, then I add a couple of points to her score. And one time, we all had a sing-a-long. We sang "Fireflies", by Owl City. LOL We all have a lot of fun, and it warms my heart when I hear them say that they don't want to move up to TNT and have another leader.

Piano Recital!

Yes, well, I forgot to tell you that Christy and I had a piano recital tonight. Oops! Well, better late then never. For this recital, I just relaxed and had fun. I messed up a few times, but that's to be expected. =D

This is Christy, looking worried. She doesn't enjoy recitals very much. But then again, who does? She played a song called the Clown Rag. =)

And here's me. People said that they loved watching my facial expressions and body movement as I played. I really get into it when I play. =D I played The Minute Waltz and Christ the Lord is Risen Today.

And, at the end, I was awarded another trophy, which I added to my award shelf. =D Hey, I can brag a little bit! lol =D

Taylor from "Proverbs 31... in Training!" tagged me with this awesome tag! Thanks Taylor!

Calm down and write part of a story. And pray.

Okay, it's "He turned on the inside light and recoiled at the death mask; Floyd's teeth were bared, his eyes open, still filled with blood around the pupils." Ooh, maybe not a good line. But it's a really good book! This is a sad part. It's part of the Left Behind series.

What is something you would like to say to someone right now?

Shut up about Obama, I don't want to hear it! (I'm very touchy on this subject)

What are you looking forward to?

Life of a Plant.

Hello everyone! I'm going to do something different today. I've had a special request; a certain someone wanted to post on my blog. His name is Alfie, or, at least I think that's what he said. He wants to give a message to the world. I told him that I didn't have that many followers, but he'll take what he can get. This is already highly irregular. Please listen to what he has to say, it brought tears to my eyes. Go ahead, Alfie.
Hello everyone. My name is Alfie, and I am here to tell you of a terrible tragedy. This is me.
I'm one of the survivors. The horrible thing is, this massacre is not a single incident. It happens over and over and over! Let me start from the beginning.

Our forefathers were brought to this land when they were just seeds. They were carefully spread out to grow and prosper. A fence was erected to protect them from animals. Those that weren't eaten by birds took root and grew. These brave pioneers struggled on, until they grew tall and green, spreading their children out to grow and expand. Suddenly, a great machine was wheeled into the enclosure. With the pull of a cord, a giant, walking creature pushed the machine around our colony. With horror, we realized that it was a killing machine! It plowed through our poplulation, killing almost everyone. The small ones were left alive, the chopping blades didn't reach them. This has happened year after year after year after year! And yet, you people do nothing about it!

This lawn was once tall and beautiful, with luscious, thick grass growing happily all around. Then suddenly, it came!

It ravaged the whole grass and clover population, killing most. The dead bodies were left on the ground. The survivors must grow in the decaying greenery of their brothers. Forgive me for being so graphic, but this is what is happening!

There are a few survivors, the ones who grew close to rocks and trees. But those wish that they were dead, having to look upon the others who were brutally murdered.

The clover patch was spared for some reason. Maybe the "One Who Pushes the Machine" has a heart after all.

These giant walking creatures are bloodthirsty heartless creatures who care nothing about us.

They walk and stomp on us all day long, yet we still continue to grow, even under the oppression.

Yet, in some places, we have just been tortured to the point of extinction by animals such as dogs.

Here is the "One Who Pushes the Machine" KILLER!

We must be avenged! Our blood stains the hands of you and your kind. Will you not stand up and fight? My time grows short, Taylor is trying to cut me off. Farewell, and do not forget us!

That will be quite enough! My dear readers, I had no idea that that clover was so, so, outspoken! I apologize.

(I am not a greenie or anything. I just happened to think of this as I mowed the lawn. Now you can see how weird I really am! And I did all of the visuals. And my hands were really stained from grass, and they still are! And I have a piano recital on Saturday, which means if I can't get this stain out, then I'll be playing with green hands! Pray!)

Where are the Connections?

Argh! I'm sitting in the van with Bert, my laptop. I've been trying like crazy to get reception somewhere, but it's hard! But I'm finally hooked up! I'm outside of Aldi's, and there's a coffee shop right next to us, so that might be where it's coming from. I just thought that this was really cool, so that's why I'm posting about it! =)

Bath Time!

Sarah and Emily just had a bath, and they're so cute when they are all wet! When I asked them to smile for the camera, Sarah really smiled, but Emily's is, well, somewhat fake. That's just what she's been doing lately when I ask her to smile. *shrugs* Sarah is on your right, and Emily is on the left. As you can see, Emily is engrossed in the TV, but at least Sarah was able to look at the camera. =)

A Glimpse of My Imagination.

This is just an interesting story that I thought I'd share so you guys could know me a little better. The other day, Dad, Christy, me, and the babies were going to church. I always daydream. If I'm just sitting there doing nothing, then I daydream. Well, the other day, Christy noticed that I was staring out the car window with a dopey expression on my face. She knows what that means, I'm off in a world of my own, but this time, she said, "What are you thinking about?" I said dreamily, "Wouldn't it be cool if I had my own griffin?" Christy and Dad both looked at me strangely, and Dad said, "Is that what you think about? Griffins?"
Me: "Oh no, sometimes I think of unicorns. And lots of other things."
Dad: "Really?"
Me: "Yup."
Dad: "Well, maybe you should concentrate on reality more."
Me: "But reality is so boring. In Erulandria...(my made-up world)
Dad: "Don't tell me any more about Erulandria. You're starting to worry me."
                                                     *silence*

I ended up feeling like a weirdo because every one else was staring at me funny. But I am a weirdo, so there. =) Now, whenever I am day dreaming, either Dad or Christy will ask what I'm thinking about. lol =D Am I abnormal, or are you guys that way too?

Canoe Ride!

I took these pics on Sunday afternoon, the first time we went out in the pond in the canoe. But, Christy and I have been canoeing almost every day since, so, better late then never, right?

Galon and I stole the canoe while Christy went inside to get the camera. We took off our shoes because it had just rained, and we didn't want to get the inside of the canoe all dirty.

Here's all three of us. I'm in the front, and Christy is in the middle.

Here we are going between the two poles that Dad's going to build a pier with.

By our expressions, you can see that Christy is having tons of fun and I am having no fun at all. That's because she was rocking the canoe and it's cold out! We're wearing coats for a reason, you know! And it's MARCH! So you know the water has to be cold.

I'm still not having fun.

So I got out and took the pics so they could be as crazy as they wanted to be.

I taught him how to do that. When we go to a lake, I paddle all around standing up. But not in cold water!

I'm not sure what Galon is doing here. Maybe attacking the shore.

I asked for a smile, this is what I got. Yes, Galon is a weirdo.

                Christy looks really unsteady here.

Like I said, we've been out canoeing in the pond several times since. Yesterday, Christy and I got into a splash fight with the oars. VERY cold! And today, I dropped my oar accidentally, but luckily, I was wearing flip flops, and I was able to paddle with them to the nearest shore. lol =D

Easter is on the Way!

Yay! I love Easter! I love the egg hunt, the pretty colors, the candy and the decorations, but I think my favorite part of Easter is the church service on Easter morning. There is just something special about gathering with God's people to celebrate his resurrection. It's sad how the holiday is so off subject. I mean, Easter was created to celebrate our Lord's rising, and most people think it's about bunnies and eggs. I'm totally not against having fun, but just don't forget the real reason of Easter! =D
