Happy Memorial Day/Decoration Day! Hope you've had a good one! This has been possibly the best memorial day ever for me. Had a bunch of relatives over and swam and ate and talked. It was great! We also celebrated Sarah's fourth birthday today! It's actually on Wednesday, but since everyone was here today, we had the party today instead. She's busy acting like a princess. Among many other things, she got a Sleeping Beauty dress, glass slippers, long gloves, a crown, and wand. =D We took the girls swimming for the first time this year. Emily loved it, but Sarah wasn't too thrilled. =) They're starting swimming lessons in a couple of months.
But about Memorial Day. I was deeply offended when I heard that Obama wasn't going to honor the grave of the Unknown Soldier. What an idiot! >=( But now that I think of it, it's probably more of an honor to the soldier that Osama, erm, Obama didn't put a wreath on the grave. I would be offended if such an evil man defiled my grave!
I know many young men who are serving in the military, so that makes this holiday more personal to me. My pastor put it this way, referring to those who died fighting for rights and freedoms. "Those men died so that we could play." It's a sobering thought. We take so many of our freedoms for granted, but many men died to give them to us. To me, it's almost an insult to them to take what they fought for so lightly. Any way, just wanted to share some thoughts and stuff. Happy birthday Sarah! =D

New Name.
Don't worry everyone, it's still me. I finally found the perfect name for my blog-Excelsior. I read a poem with that title written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It means "ever higher". I really like it, and I hope that you like it too. =D

Help!!!!!
Okay, let me explain. I created this blog first. I signed in with my first email address. Then, my address changed, and I created a new blog, but I signed in with my new address. So, I have two different "sets" of blogs. But, I want to switch this blog to my other set of blogs, the one where I sign in with my new email address. I found out to import my blog to the other one, but I lose all of my followers and I also lose all of the people that I follow. I really don't want to do that, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to import my blog to the other set, or how to change my email that I sign in with? If you could help in any way, I would be sooooooo appreciative! Thanks! =D

Smile!
I realized that in the post before this one, I sounded a bit gloomy. So, I found some of these cute quotes.
"Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day." ~Quoted in P.S. I Love You, compiled by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
A smile confuses an approaching frown. ~Author Unknown
A smile is a curve that sets everything straight. ~Phyllis Diller
The world always looks brighter from behind a smile. ~Author Unknown
Before you put on a frown, make absolutely sure there are no smiles available. ~Jim Beggs
A smile is an inexpensive way to change your looks. ~Charles Gordy
Life is like a mirror, we get the best results when we smile at it. ~Author Unknown
Always remember to be happy because you never know who's falling in love with your smile. ~Author Unknown
If you don't have a smile, I'll give you one of mine. ~Author Unknown
Smile - sunshine is good for your teeth. ~Author Unknown ( I like this one)
Smiling is my favorite exercise. ~Author Unknown
Wear a smile - one size fits all. ~Author Unknown
Keep smiling - it makes people wonder what you've been up to. ~Author Unknown (This is so me)
Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important. ~Janet Lane
If you would like to spoil the day for a grouch, give him a smile. ~Author Unknown
That's all for now, I have to get back to school. And the sun just came out! =D I feel better already.

This is the Title.
Yeah, I know, strange title, but I couldn't think of what to title this. I'm in a posting mood, but I'm a little tired. And besides, it's raining outside, so I'm a little depressed. My mood depends heavily on the weather. =) Last night was the last night of Awanas until the fall, when school starts again. =( Major dislike! But it was a wonderful way to end. I played Super Tag like a maniac for hours. When I went to bed last night, I was so sore, not to mention that I took an unusually rough fall. I fall a lot, but I usually manage to catch myself. Last night, I went sprawling. I skinned up my elbow and I have a huge blue lump on my hip. Not fun. But not unusual. And it didn't help that one of the guys that I was playing tag with kept slamming me into the wall. Jerk. Today, I'm all stiff, especially that leg that's all bruised up. We're still finishing up school, you know, Mom's grading papers and I'm fixing stupid mistakes. I still have a little more in Algebra, and I'm really trying to do a good job, because I don't want Mom to get Josh to tutor me again. Not that he isn't nice or anything, I just don't like it. I'm sure that some of you understand. ;) On a happier note... Wow, I can't think of anything especially joyful to tell you about! How embarrassing. Well, I'll come up with something soon, I'm sure. =D Keep smiling!

Look, Look, an Update!!!!!
Sorry for not posting in a while, but nothing much has happened. Well, actually, on Sunday, we got rid of our last two horses. Oh yeah, that horse, Mocha, that I told you ran away, well, we found her. Sorry! I'm really behind. Well, actually, one reason is that I'm mourning the loss of my good friend, Eldarwen. She is off the internet for a month, and I'm having a hard time accepting it. Right now, my family is deciding what to watch. Example:
Christy: Mom, can I watch a Little House on the Prairie?
Mom: That's fine with me. What do you think, Taylor?
Me: I don't care. (I wasn't listening in the first place, so I have no idea what they're talking about. "I don't care" is my anwer to everything)
Dad: We always watch those. Let's watch something different.
Christy: Okay, like what?
Dad: How about a Disney animated movie, like Over the Hedge or Open Season?
Christy: Dad! We watch those with Sarah and Emiliy all the time!
Dad: Fine, then you pick something out to watch.
Christy: How about Little House on the Prairie?
Mom: Christy, don't be annoying.
Me: How about a cool movie, like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars or something? (Notice, at this point, I am completely ignored.)
Christy: Well, then what do you want to watch?
Mom: An animated movie sounds good to me.
Christy: Mooooooooommmmmm!!
Dad: What do you think, Taylor?
Me: I don't care.
Christy: I guess I'll go outside then.
Dad: Fine! Go ahead and watch the Little House on the Prairie episode. I have work to do outside.
Christy: Okay! (This is what she planned all along)
Me: I don't care.
Christy: I didn't ask you anything.
Me: I don't care.
Interesting, isn't it? lol =D Oh, and before I go, I want to tell you that Christy's first softball game is tonight!!!! Pretty nifty. Okay, that's it. Bye! (good grief, I've been texting too much. Now I end posts like I do texts!)

Happy Days are Here Again!
I finished tenth grade yesterday!!!!! I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!! I mean, I have a few things to catch up on, but otherwise, I am free as a bird! Well, maybe not that free, but close! =D I'm so excited! And I'm even going to pass Algebra I! Now that's the real surprise of this post! I failed it last year. =( But this year, I might have even got a "B"! =D Now, just to let you know, I am a really good student, and I get "A"'s in everything except Algebra. Here it comes!!!
There is a STORM coming!! It's been building up all day. This morning, when Mom woke me up at eight, it was so dark in my room it looked like five a.m.! Right now, it's so dark outside that our yard light has been on for about an hour already. Crazy. I LOVE big storms!!!! This should be good!!! I can't wait! Except, it looks like really good tornado weather. =O Don't worry, if one happens to come up, then I'll lasso it and ride it like Pecos Bill! =D

Amazing!
I still can't believe it! For those who don't know, I take the homeschool video courses from Pensacola Christian Academy. They are videos of the actual classes that went through the school. Well, there's one guy named Matt who is so funny in the videos. I mean, he cracks me up! He just does funny things. I looked him up on facebook and found him!!!!!! Is that amazing or what?! It's incredible! I'm so happy I could burst! When that video was taken, he was sixteen, and now, he's twenty-three and about to be married! That is so awesome!! Have I stressed how excited I am?!?! Yippee!!!! Yahoo!!! Hallelujah!! Thank-you Lord!! =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D I'll setle down in a couple of hours.

Silver Dollar City!
We went to Silver Dollar City today! It was awesome! But, unfortunately, we got hardly any pictures. Five, total. I can feel your glares at me. *gulp* But it wasn't my fault! It was Mom! *points finger* SHE was the one who didn't take pictures! So glare at HER, not me! Anyway, here is a pic of the swings. They just go around and around. I have a... tradition. And I LOVE traditions! I make more every year. But I have been doing this one for awhile. Whenever I ride a roller coaster, I always hold my hand up through it all, waving. Isn't that right, Eldarwen? lol (She got a kick out of that at Six Flags) So, even though this wasn't actually a roller coaster, I was still waving like crazy to Mom.
See my hand? =D
We did a lot of other stuff, but no pics. Sorry. But these next pictures are of the end of our trip. There's this new ride where a boat goes through a windy river, and it has a bunch of waterguns on it. And there are water guns along the shore and stuff so it's like a big water battle. Well, I DID NOT want to get wet, so I watched while Christy went on the ride. But afterward, she started firing at people in the boats. Well, that did it. For those who don't know, I am EXTREMELY competitive! So, I joined in. And it was soooooooo much fun! Crazy fun. We had like troops. I was the captain, and I was always running along the docks, telling who to fire at and stuff. We would always pinpoint a person to soak! And since I was the leader, the people in the boats would always fire at me when I ran by to "rally the troops"! It was so fun! Christy was on the front ranks while I was in the tower manning a gun and calling out orders.
Christy is so wet! But that is her post, I was just there for an emergency. At that spot, the guns are like one foot away from each other! So I don't stay there for long. =) Recogonize the shoes and capris that I'm wearing, Eldarwen? lol
Haha, here, one guy was yelling at me, and I was like, "What? I'm innocent!" It was so hilarious! And one guy came through, and since I always pick someone for the troops to shoot especially, I yelled, "Get baldie! Get baldie!" The guy heard me and started laughing, and Christy got him with a mouthful of water! Haha! And I looked at one guy in the boat as it passed, and I said, "I'm coming after you, buddy. Yeah, that's right, you!" And he said, "Bring it on, doll." It was so funny! He was soaked. Everyone in the boats would see me running around and pointing at certain people, and they kept squirting at me!!!!!
It's very intense. These are the guns. The boat is about to pass, and we were spraying them. So much fun! (Have I said that enough?) lol Anyway, that was my exciting day! =D

Ooooooooh!!!!!!
Ooh! Argh! Rrgghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew, I'm glad that I got that out of my system. *wipes forehead* Okay, earlier, I was messing around with my new phone, and I discovered that I could buy ringtones right from the phone! Very exciting. But, when I searched for the two Owl City songs that I wanted, (Hot Air Balloon and Fireflies), they weren't there! So, I went to AT&T's website and searched their ringtones. And, I found both songs! So, I went to buy them, and it said to "Pick your phone", and they had a whole list of phones. Well, I found mine, and after I clicked on it; it went back to the search program. I thought, "Okay, well, I'll just go back to the songs." But when I typed in Fireflies, a note came up saying, "This tone is not available for you type of phone." The same thing happened with Hot Air Balloon! I was soooooooooo mad!!!!! Incredibly mad! Like, so mad, if I wasn't a Christian, I would be cussing those stupid AT&T people!!!! But instead, I grabbed my phone and called them to tell them what I thought of them. Thankfully, they didn't answer the phone. I have somewhat of a temper problem, and my mouth gets me in trouble sometimes. *sheepish grin* But, I have let out my anger. Mostly. =D I thought that it was interesting, and it's all I could think of to post about. =D

Dreary Afternoon.
It's very cloudy outside, but it refuses to rain. *pout* I hate it when it gets this way. I wish that it would just rain and get it over with. Plus, I love a good storm in general, and I'm getting tired of waiting. You might have realized by now that I don't really have anything worthwhile to post about. I'm sitting here watching "Father of the Bride" and eating yet more ice cream. I'm wearing a huge, yellow sweatshirt and my comfy new jeans and a pair of Dad's socks. (Don't tell him)
Had a great time at church this morning. The whole church played this awesome new game called Members Jeapordy. It was hilarious! There were five catagories: Missions, Family, Profiles and Relationships, Ministries, and I can't remember the last one. Ten people were called up to the front. And Dad was one of them! The look on his face when they called his name was priceless! Okay, so the ten people were divided into two teams, and they took turns picking categories and answering the questions from the box that they picked. All of the questions were about something or someone in our church. And there was the most hilarious questions! Like, the funniest one to me was when one guys picked a box and the question was: "Which member recently made a new fish pond?" Which, of course, it was Dad! It was soooooo funny to the whole church because Dad has been telling everyone! LOL I hope that we play that game again next week! Haha! So there, that's my little update. =)

Good-bye Mocha.
Well, she's gone again. Let me explain. We used to have four horses, but we sold two a month ago. Now, we are trying to sell our remaining two, that is, if we can hold on to them. One is a Tenessee Walker named Mocha, and the other is a pony named Patches. Mocha is an escape artist lately, and today is the third time that she has escaped the fence! >=( Once before, we caught her in time, and the other time, some people found her and brought her back. This morning, we discovered that she was gone. We spent the whole morning looking for her, but we found nothing. I hope she's gone for good. She's nothing but trouble. A friend gave her to us for free, so it's not like a big loss of money. Stupid animal. Sorry, I'm just a little frustrated. Grrrrrrrr!!!! If anyone out there wants a sweet, black, Tennessee Walker, let me know. =)
